Craig Bennetts brings wide ranging knowledge and experience in the industry to Rio Aggregate Services, Inc, as its President. A graduate of Auburn University, with an emphasis in Pavement Management (APM), Craig has decades of experience going back to Bennetts and Son, Inc, a petroleum and asphalt company business started with his father and serving the Tri-State area for many years. Bennetts asphalt was eventually sold to Sunland Asphalt, which retained Craig on its team until 2016. He started Pavement Scopers in 2014, providing Pavement Management Consulting throughout Arizona and the Southwest and, along with his son Tanner Bennetts, has been part of a family legacy in the industry for three generations. Craig has joined forces with Christopher Olson and David Kuntz, to bring his wealth of experience to Rio Aggregate Services with its primary operations located at the Black Mountain Farms Pit in the Mohave Valley.
Heading up Operations Management is Tanner Bennetts who was raised in the Tri-State area and is a third generation Bennetts family member in the industry. Tanner studied Small Business at Glendale Community College and has held management positions at Safeway Inc. and Best Buy Co. Inc. As a young man, he worked alongside his Father and Grandmother in the family business and has a real passion for the industry and for solid customer service. He joined Rio Aggregate Services, Inc. at its inception in 2017 and serves as the Operations Manager at the Black Mountain Farms Pit.
Christopher Olson, our Chief Financial Officer, has extensive experience in the financial sector, where he managed approximately one half billion dollars in assets for families and small businesses. A graduate of North Dakota State University, he is the founder of The Foundation Latin America, which empowers people in Central America to become economically self-sufficient and able to support their families. As successful entrepreneurs, he and his business partner, David Kuntz, manage $30 million in agricultural assets involving water rights, seed expansion and farm development in Arizona. They are also owners of the 30+ million-ton aggregate reserve where Rio Aggregate Services has its base of operations. Chris is focused on financial management and expanding the company’s product line and services further into the tri-state market.
David E. Kuntz, our Chief Executive Officer, has a comprehensive legal and business background working extensively in Arizona on water rights, irrigated agricultural land, tax deferred exchanges, and complex real estate transactions both as an owner and a consultant. A graduate of Carleton College and Washington University School of Law, Dave has been an attorney for nearly 40 years. One of the companies owned by Dave and CFO, Chris Olson, controls the primary aggregate deposit near Bullhead City, Arizona, where the operations of Rio Aggregate Services are based. Dave is also an owner of Rio Aggregate Services itself, which is strategically located about 5 miles from both Nevada and California for the production of materials for the construction, asphalt, and concrete industries. Dave’s focus is on executive management and growing the company with a “customer first” approach.
